Hello everyone this is Anthony Brinkley the creator of Colormagix. I’m writing this post to inform all of you that I will be continuing the additional tutorial updates as scheduled. In the next few days you will be noticing if you come to the blog often that I will be adding more and more tutorials, this is mainly because I am attempting to bring the blog and the entire website into a more, content oriented/focused website. The tutorials will feature more description, and more information compared to previous tutorials. The main reason for this is that I now have more time to focus on writing. I hope that you all will continue to visit the Colormagix blog and website and are looking forward to the new tutorials that we will be creating. As always please feel free to comment and post any ideas or if you would like to discuss.

Okay, so this is big news! Well not too big, but still big enough. We just launched a new tutorial! It’s been a good while since a tutorial has actually be released. This is a part of the three part digital art process tutorial I mentioned earlier.

It’s taken forever, but the new design is up and running. The new search features have been embeded, now all I’ve got to do is work on the social bookmarking portion and everything will be 100%. I’ll be checking to make sure everything is working okay, today, and if their are any problems I’ll take care of it.

Well of course I’ve been busy, I’m always busy, but while I’ve been away I’ve been working on some amazing things, including new tutorials, restoring the old blog posts, designing this new blog design, and working on the new website design. The new website design is actually what this blog is using. I’ve spent the past few days working on modifying the new website design for wordpress. Luckily for me, everything turned out well.
You can expect the main website to have the new layout soon, I actually did a test run about 2:00 AM this morning to see how it looked, and it looked good. Just a few more tweaks here and their and it will be show time.
Here is a low quality preview

Hi Guys, We’re Back… Again
If you’ve been here recently you’ve noticed that for some time now the entire colormagix blog disappeared. Well, that was entirely my fault. I accidentally deleted the entire database. I know that was an idiotic thing to do, but life happens. So for right now there isn’t much here, but I’ll do my best to slowly restore the old blog post. I don’t have a backup database for the blog.. so I’ll be manually attempting to restore the lost posts.

I’m trying to make a decent effort to update the majority of the colormagix tutorials. I got through the bulbasaur tutorial pretty quickly, it’s just that I need stay constant. When looking at the bulbasaur tutorial compared to some of the other ones, it had a lot of steps. That being said I’m positive I can get through some others within a few days. Right this second I’m working on the How to draw a turtle tutorial, the Pixel Pumpkin tutorial, and the Spriting on the Breeze Template tutorial.

As I promised I’m making more of an effort to update colormagix. I have a surprise I’m actually working on new tutorials!!! These are inspired from my original Mo Mo Monster game concepts. I’m not going to go into too much detail about the idea, but the three in rough sketch form are bellow. Each monster is going to be featured in their own tutorial. I’d love to go into more detail but you are going to have to wait and see. Until then keep checking the website, as I will be posting more as time goes on.
Please be aware, these are simply sketches, they will look better when completed

Remember how I said a few months back that I was going to bring life back into the blog? Well yea… about that… I’ve been busy. I’ve had a lot of things under my belt. But now I can seriously get back to doing what I enjoy doing, and that’sworking on colormagix. If you read some other post you might be aware of the changes that have taken place as of late, (the website news is now apart of the blog). This sort of forces me to come to blog and edit everything from time to time. So expect more posting from me, and please comment, as I’m interested in hearing what you all have to say.

Today I just learned about a Rpg Maker Vx Characterset template. A spriter from a popular forum decided to begin work on a template that will be perfect for making VX charactersets. I’m not going to give out all the details or give the entire template, as it is not for public release as of yet. But below you can see some of it.
