Step One
In this tutorial you will learn how to sprite on the Breeze Template the way that the creator, Kevin does. First of all we need to start by opening the breeze template. You can download the actual template from this page. Open it up in your favrotie image making prgoram. You have two options to choose from, either the male or female template.

Step Two:
For the purposes of this tutorial we will be specifically dealing with the male template. Please note that the same techniques can be applied to both templates.

Step Three:
To begin zoom in on the actual template, and be sure to zoom in on one of the actual standing frames of the template. We need a nice big view to work with it on a pixel by pixel level.

Step Four
First pick a dark color, it does not matter what color. This is just so you can establsh the basic hair shape. Use it an color the the basic hair shape. Shade all of it in.

Step Five
Choose a base color that you want to act as the main hair color. Fill in the basic hair shape you made so their is only a one pixel outline width. This template is supposed to follow a cartoony style, so don't be too detailed.

step Six
Now pick a slightly darker tone of the base color and use it to ad some shading to the bottom of the hair.

Step Seven
In this step pick a very light tone of the base color! Do no use a pure white color. Use the color to add highlights to sprites hair.

Step Eight
Since we are working on the head we might as well finish it. Pick out a dark color for the eyes and a lighter tone of the same color. Apply these to the eyes as shown in the example.

Step Nine
Now that we have finished the head, we can continue with the body. Let's start off by doing the shirt. Pick a base color make sure that the base you choose is fairly light. Fill the base color of the template with it.

Step Ten
Now pick a very dark tone of the base color (don't choose black) fill in the outline of the shirt.

Step Eleven
In this step pick a slightly darker color and a color that is even darker then that one and apply the shading where appropriate. You can choose the shade in the same spots as the template.

Step Twelve
The rest of the clothing is done exactly the same way. Just take a look at the example and I am sure you can figure out how I did it.

Step Thirteen
Last but not least you can put a little detail, like a belt or a cape.

Step Fourteen
Here is the non zoomed version of the sprite, make correctly with the breeze template.
